Title: Sorrow's Nightmare, Crowned Prince of Winter
Apparent Age: Mid-20s. It depends on how 'done up' he is.
Height: 6' 2"
Weight/Build: 175lbs, very skinny (almost unhealthily so)
Hair Color: Dark Brown
Eye Color: Hazel-Green
Mantle: 3, Winter's Crown
To the mortal world, Rikard looks like a thin, pretty young man. He's got tan skin, shiny brown hair that reaches to the middle of his back and bright hazel eyes. Fashion not being his strongest suit, Rikard dresses in earthy tone in practical clothing. The impression of a gardener is given with dirty jeans and a periodic but distinct lack of shoes. He almost always favors a flower of some kind; either a large white one behind his ear, or small blue ones woven into his long hair. Often scuffed leather boots are tied at the laces and resting around his neck.
To those Touched, Gladiolus more closely resembles a willowy flowering tree. He's grey and smooth as a young beech tree. His hair waves like branches in the wind, and filled with little blue and white flowers. Gladiolus favors tight clothing and keeping his chest bare, rarely wearing shoes. His eyes carry an odd edge, a hunger that trees shouldn't have. A menacing gloom seems to follow him. Disturbing soft tattooed leather boots with thorns growing through the eyelets are often about his neck.

The world can't seem to remember this thin fellow. In Courtier circles, he's known to be an important figure to Winter, but it's not really certain why. It's known that he was a founding member of the Rogues' Gallery Motley, a mysterious group of somewhat shifty Changelings. If people really think about it, they'll know that the reason you don't travel through Discovery Park after dark is this twisted willow.
- Gladiolus is a direct descendant of the viking king, Erik the Red.
- Gladiolus is secretly a Fairest, but is so embarrassed about his bark-y skin that he refuses to admit such.
- Gladiolus is the reason the homeless have started going missing.
- Gladiolus has challenged at least two Slavers to Hedge Duels. They were never seen again.
- Gladiolus is incredibly deadly in Oneiromancy, as well as a talented dream-crafter
- Gladiolus fertilizes his personal gardens with the bones of orphaned children and Loyalists.
"I've already told you: the only way to a woman's heart is along the path of torment. I know none other as sure." - Marquis de Sade
"...none were more dangerous than the Great Willow; his heart was rotten, but his strength was green; and he was cunning, and a master of winds, and his song and thought ran through the woods on both sides of the river. His grey thirsty spirit drew power out of the earth and spread like fine root-threads in the ground, and invisible twig-fingers in the air, till it had under its dominion nearly all the trees of the Forest from the Hedge to the Downs."
